Firstly, welcome to my blog! As this is my first post, I thought I’d share why I decided to blog. I’m a twenty-something but like every one of us, we think we are different to everyone else.
Whilst this is true, in my case I’m a little more unique than most. I since my late childhood have had a condition called M.E/CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.) Nearly a decade on, I’ve been limited beyond my wildest dreams. However, this blog won’t be about my journey solely, but my limitations are the reason I want to write. I love to read blogs. Due to my illness, I have thought countless times I’d love to do that but I can’t because of many a reason. I use a wheelchair I have issues with loud noises, bright lights. I can’t hold my arms up long enough to do more than pull my hair into a pony tail. That’s not really scratching the surface, but we have time to get to know one another.
I won’t complain because I’m still fortunate. I want to tailor my blog for either my fellow lazy girl or the people who are limited in some way, to find a space that will hopefully help. I am sure I will still have snippets of my life and chatty blog posts about what is current in my life as well.
It’s been a while since I sat and thought about my intentions for the near future, but growing the blog and sharing how I live with a chronic condition is my focus. Whilst there will be serious times, I intend to keep this a positive corner of the interwebs. Because if you have found my nook of the Internet, chances are that, you have something you are in need of distraction from.
I just want to have a platform to share knowledge, stupidity and a sense of normality from my abnormal point of view.
Mostly I want to represent my experiences like you would when talking to a dear friend, which I’m hoping you will end up being. Having a space to reflect and be able to share almost insignificant things, like this moisturiser I found that’s amazing. But also how many hacks I have found to help make life that little bit easier. I hope there will be something most can relate to. I want this to be a helpful resource, but not a sinister one. Like life itself, I want there to be variety.
Thank you for clicking over here and I hope to see you in my next post.
What a brave thing to do. I look forward to reading the next post.
